We take the XKR out to the canyons north of LA to see just how much influence Ford has had over the UK brand, and if Jaguar's new coupe can hold a candle to the likes of the BMW M6 and Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG. With a supercharged engine bumping out 420 hp, it's got a good chance, but judging from how many lives Jaguar has used up already, we reserved our judgment until we got the XKR out on the pavement.
