Description: Worlds largest rotative beam pumping engine. Built in 1865 by the James Watt Co.
Part of Joseph Bazelgettes intercepting sewer system of 1865, Crossness pumping station in SE London houses 4 such engines only one of which is restored and running. At the start of the film you see a small "baring" engine, used to position the large beam engine prior to starting.
