Nasa tests it's new Methane rocket motor. Very impressive.

This is the test firing of NASA's new Methane rocket, which could be the key to deep space exploration, because methane is very prominent in space, and could be easily harvested, reducing launch costs.

This is pretty frakkin awesome. It's a land-based test of a methane booster rocket as an alternative to the hydrogen fuel rockets currently used by the space shuttle. Methane rockets would be way lighter and thus far more efficient than current hydrogen rockets.

The first test of the Deimos liquid-rocketengine. this engine was designed by members from Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering. The test was performed with methane and oxygen in gaseous form to test the general concept.
