Thanks to its early arrival, after weeks of late departures I finally managed to get Biman taking off past the Viewing Park on 24R. Nice how the sun came out too, I must say I do love the DC-10 with a passion!

As Biman stops flying to MAN for the winter, this was my last chance to see my favourite trijet in action until next May. Seen arriving up-close on 06R and then taxiing past after dusk and roaring down 06L. Apologies for the takeoff shot, my hands were shaking with cold! Enjoy this beautiful beast.

I hope you like this one. Viewed from Ringway Road my favourite jet flies over, delighting the 20-or-so spectators who were watching arrivals with me. Then, 1hr 15 mins later she fogs up her engines, powers down 24L and roars overhead. What a beautiful and elegant airliner the DC-10 is!

Another shot of this absolutely beautiful airliner. Listen to those engines screaming as she slows on 24R, and watch as she taxies right past us at the Viewing Park. This is flight BG006 arriving from London Heathrow 5 minutes early, lucky as I managed to get her just before the storm began!

2 hours and 45 minutes behind schedule! This beauty is seen landing up-close on 06R and then taxiing past and taking off on 06L... watch how her engines fog up on takeoff. Apologies for the poor takeoff shot- the winds and light would have been more favourable if she'd been on time!

Biman have given MAN goers a classic tri-jet: the DC10! This beauty makes her way in and out of Manchester on the first Dhaka-Manchester-New York schedule. A thunder/hailstorm started seconds after this jumbo jet left the ground- how lucky!

As this old beauty lands, watch as the nose touches down then lifts off again. By the time it took off it was dark and freezing cold, so forgive me for the camera shake as we were both shivering! Long live the DC-10.

She looks great! First visit of this particular aircraft to Ringway, this was one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen. Rotates right in front of us. So nice to see these classic tri-jets still going strong well into 2006.
